 The diagrams regarding the evolution of the inhabitants number indicate a diminution. In 2002, the weight of the population with ages between 0 and 44 years is 40% given the 60% of the population with the age more than 45 years.

 The diagrams regarding the evolution of the inhabitants’ number on age groups and sexes indicates on one side the drastic decrease of the birth rate and a slow aging process of the population, and on the other side a poised balance, in 2002, between the women and men weights.

 The evolution of the ratio resulted from the quotient of inhabitants’ number divided by that of dwellings’ number indicates a slow increase of the comfort: 13.2 m˛/person in 1992 comes to 14.63 m˛/person in 2002.

 The diagram of the consumptions’ evolution indicates a very slow increase due to the lack of the necessary infrastructure.

 In 1992, the percent of employed population was 49.80% from the total number of the inhabitants and 97.74% from the total number of the inhabitants with ages between 20 and 65 years. In 2002, the percent of employees was 47.59% from the total number of the inhabitants and 85.09% from the total number of the inhabitants with ages between 20 and 65 years.

 The main occupations are the same: land cultivation (wheat, corn), breeding, viticulture and fishing. The activities of the nowadays commercial societies are: agriculture, breeding, fish breeding and commerce. The arable land cultivated remained the same (1115 ha).

 The touristic offer is almost zero.

 The public services are minimal.

 The ethnical and religious composition indicates that the population is exclusively Romanian.
