
The locality is placed in the marginal plain of the Babadag plateau and it is bounded by Babadag Lake at North-West, by Razim Lake at East and by the forest hills of the plateau.
The landscape calls attention by the presence of the conical or rounded summits, of the steep rocks, excepting the southern and western sides where the slopes are smaller. The zone is representative for the Black Sea fossil seacoast landscape.
From the vegetation point of view, the landscape is more dominated by steppe meadows and saxicolous plants and less by shrubs. This ensemble with high aesthetic value is typical for Dobrudja.
Flora contains species of plants protected at the international level, such as bellflower, pink, spurge, sandwort, lettuce, poppy, shepherd’s needle, bedstraw, storks bill, mustard, clary.
Ornitho-fauna contains species of threatened birds such as white-egret, white-tailed eagle, marsh harrier, Hen harrier, long-legged buzzard, rough-legged Buzzard, roller, cuckoo, hoopoe…
The climate is characterized by a year average temperature of 10.7°C, low year average precipitations (365 mm) and the torrential character of most of the rains. Summer is warm and winter not too cold.
There are no pollution or aggression factors which can modify the landscape, excepting the torrential rains.
