Location

Sfântu Gheorghe commune is situated at the eastern part of the county, in Danube Delta, 120 km from Tulcea municipality and about 30 km from Sulina, on the left side of Sfântu Gheorghe branch. The commune consists in a single village, 631 square km. The link with Tulcea town is made by Sfântu Gheorghe branch with ships. The link with Sulina town is made by the paved road on the dike built on the seashore (about 30 km long).
